High Technology Center (ChemRar)” and R-Pharm announce a Joint Venture

R-Pharm and ChemRar join efforts in active substances production

Center for High Technology "ChemRar" and CJSC "R-Farm" are to establish a joint venture for production of drugs’ active substances in Yaroslavl.

The new venture in Yaroslavl region will be supported with the appropriate technologies and investments to build modern production of active ingredients for drugs in accordance with the standards of good manufacturing practice (GMP).

The project "Pharmoslavl" fully complies with the priorities approved by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Strategy for the Development of Pharmaceutical Industry of the Russian Federation until 2020 (the "Pharma 2020"). It aims to reduce dependence of domestic health care on imports of not only finished dosage forms but also of substances for their production. Partners selected the Yaroslavl region because of its advanced developed chemical industry, laboratory and scientific base as well as availability of specialized training and higher education institutions.

ChemRar and R-Pharm are planning a plant’s construction to produce drug substances in Yaroslavl. This decision is a logical step in the program to develop the Yaroslavl pharmaceutical cluster. This program is being implemented by the regional administration with the support of the Russian Federation Government "- said S.A. Vakhrukov, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region.
